Nine families, migrants from Central Travancore and members of Mar Thoma Church, Aluva, decided to form a small prayer group at Kalamassery. Rev. A. P. With an intention of constructing an appropriate building for worship, a plot of 18 cents was acquired near Kalamassery Polytechnic. Consequent to the acquisition of the plot by NH authorities, a plot of 27.5 cents was procured, and this includes the present parish complex. The Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan, laid the foundation stone of the Chapel in 1963, and Late Dr. Thomas Mar Athenasius Suffergen Episcopa on 18th October 1964 dedicated this Chapel, which then had an approximate membership of 125 from 19 families. This Chapel was accorded the status of an Edavaka on 1st May 1966.

Six cents of land procured from Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association on 31st March 2000 was used to extend our existing cemetery on the Eastern side. Later a Cellar for 108 families was constructed and dedication prayer ceremony was conducted on 31st December 2005.
With the intention to construct a Parsonage complex, nine cents of land was acquired on 30th December 2000. Foundation stone was laid on 4th March 2001 by Rt. Rev.
